More Death of Buy and Hold. Yawn.

In July, I blogged about the topic of buy and hold, and the death thereof. I thought I solved the problem. I thought I put an end to the debate.

Well, needless to say, more than a few people didn’t read my blog post and continued the dispute. Maybe Vanguard’s recent article will put an end to this nonsense. Unlikely. But the Vanguard article is worth a read.

The following sentiment from the Vanguard piece resonates with me: “Everything we know about investment theory and practice, however, suggests that staying the course will remain an effective approach long after those proclaiming the death of buy and hold have disappeared.”
